In case you hadn’t heard, Peter will be speaking at this year’s BooQfest – “the festival with a literary bent!”
The LGBT-specific book festival runs from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th September 2013 in Northampton (UK), and Peter’s talk, entitled “In Conversation with Peter J Merrigan” takes place on Sunday 15th at 12 noon, followed by an hour of chat and book signings at 1pm. He’ll be answering questions from moderator Antonia Underwood and reading from RIDER as well as an exclusive first reading from LYNCH.
BooQfest is in its second year now and is proving very popular. Tickets are free and the weekend-long event takes place at The Royal & Derngate Theatres in Northampton.
Peter says, “I’m so excited to be taking part in this year’s BooQfest. Although, surrounded by such wonderful people as VG Lee, James Wharton, Paul Burston and Mark O’Connell, I can’t think what they want me there for! [He laughs.] I feel totally privileged. Compared to some of the other names taking part this year, I feel like a nobody!!
If you’re in Northampton this weekend, be sure to stop by. The whole weekend will be an amazing time. Peter will be Tweeting during the weekend when he can.
